Mucus plug

Possible tmi:) When I wiped today after peeing for the 8th time(probably more) I saw some mucus on the toilet paper and went back in there a little while later and a huge piece was there with brown streaks in it. I'm 38w4d and I didn't know how long you usually went into labor after losing your plug. What happened to all you Momma's? I've also been super crampy today and got checked yesterday and I was 1 centimeter dilated but doc said she's super low. Do you think I still have a lot of time or no? I'm getting so anxious!!
