Who should be in the delivery room?

My hospital only allows two people to be in the delivery room while giving birth.  Of course my husband was in the room with me but the extra person my first son it was my mom. With my second son it was my MIL. Who should we ask to be in there with us for our third child, our first girl? I'm thinking maybe my SIL (if she wants to since she is 18) or maybe just my husband to keep it fair between our moms. What do y'all think?

I'd say your husband and YOUR mom since its you who actually has to go through carrying a baby for 9 months, symptoms, labor and contractions, pushing a baby out etc. Personally I'd just want my mama there for the support and pain I'll be in. It's not about being fair to me it's about how I feel the most comfortable and that's with my mom. I don't care if I have 70 kids, it would be my man and my mom every time if I could lol. I would still have his side of the family in the hospital waiting room while I delivered though, this is important for them too of course.

Im having the same question.. My son it was my husband and MIL. My mom an her both had the option but my mom couldnt stomach it an passed! This time im confused on whatI want to do! I want to ask my MIL again an keep it the same way! But i was debating if i wanted to ask the nanny of this one my SIL or my sister (nanny of first) but she didnt come to first an i have two sisters so id be conflicted on that one! So im thinking to just have ot the same as before. MIL and hubby! Because i want pictures of us two and the baby! And she did great then, pluse we bonded more after that MIL and i! She was also a great help through pregnancy as same with this one! She brung me to my hubby when in labor to head to hospital! My mom lives a state away.

For my first son I had my mom and sister there with me, our second son we had just me and my husband and for our third which is a little girl we are going to have my MIL there. So once with my mom, once by ourselves and once with my MIL. I would just go ahead with whoever you are comfortable with the most. I will say that for our second son it was a really, special experience sharing the birth with just my husband and I. Congrats to you on your little lady!

I'll be having my husband and 2 of my sisters. No one will be allowed to visit me until 24hrs after I've recovered and had time to bond with my baby. Quite frankly I can't stand my in laws and they don't really have any interest in the pregnancy I'd imagine I'd be the same with the birth as well.
