Child birth class?

Question

I had no intentions on going, because I felt that anything I would learn would go right out the window in the heat of the moment.
   But tell me your thoughts, this being my first child I'm completely in the dark. Is child birthing classes worth it? They offer a lamaze class for four weeks at the hospital I plan to deliver at.

I loved going to the birth classes. It's worth it .. And I just took advantage of all the information I can get. I mean now that I'm trying for my second child I probably wouldn't do it. But with my first pregnancy I def did it and learned a lot and met other awesome couples.

I would defiantly go if this is your first! It's worth it and you learn so much. Even if you only learn one thing, it's one thing new you didn't know before, Which could be useful. It's good to be more knowledgeable with what's going on to your body and bubba before and after birth than not having a clue. xx

I think it's worth it. The classes I did covered the details about 3rd trimester and labor and delivery, and included breathing and relaxation techniques and labor positions. I used them and just felt better knowing what to expect and understanding what the doctors and nurses were doing/saying.
