UK - Can new borns have their own dummies straight away?

I have an outfit for my sons first hospital photos and a dummy that matches with the outfit. I was wondering if the baby can have the dummies that you've bought yourself or if they have to have the hospitals?

If you breast feed they suggest you dont introduce a dummy until 6 weeks ( unless baby is preemie) if you bottle feed i dont think there is a problem having dummy  from birth :)

I'm from Chicago, and the hospital provided pacifier. I personally don't like them, so every time they would give it to my son is would take it away

Hospitals don't give you dummies generally.

You don't get a dummy off the hospital. The only ones I've seen are babies in neonatal x
