I'm 34 weeks 4 days and I've had 8 contractions in the last hour. 2 of them made me stop walking. Should I go into Labor and Delivery??

I'd call your on-call OB and see what they want you to do. If they're consistent, painful and getting closer together then they sound real and they will probably tell you to go in 😕 My fingers are crossed that it's nothing and that little baby gets to bake a little longer!! Good luck!

UPDATE: the contractions stopped after 2 hours. They never got extremely intense. I didn't go into Labor and Delivery. I came home from work and layed on my right side and it helped a lot! I had a good night's sleep. Today I feel fine. Baby is moving around just like normal.  Thank you ladies for all your advice.

My doctor just told me at my 34 week appointment of i have 6 or more an hour at this point that I need to go in to get monitored.

You're still to early for baby to come so go get checked out so they can stop the contractions if baby is trying to make an appearance. The nurses are used to girls coming in all the time don't be embarrassed if it turns out just to be Braxton hicks. You're being safe and that's all that matters

Go in to be safe. The way my Dr explained it to me is that the real this will definitely stop you in your tracks. Rather be safe than sorry

Have they been occuring longer than just this hour? Does anything help(slow or stop them) like resting or eating/drinking?
