Anyone not finding out gender?

I can't decide! My husband says he doesn't care either way...how awesome of a surprise would it be!? But, this is my first and I'm a mega preparer! So the preparer side of me is trying to tell me to find out so when baby comes we already have everything ready. Opinions? People who haven't found out gender...how was that experience?

I want to wait so badly to find out the sex but SO is not having it, lol. He wants to know now so I just gave in.☺️

We're going to find out and then not tell anyone 🙂 I want to know but I also have some family members who will buy either an explosion of blue or pink and I want gender neutral stuff in case we have another.

This is our first and we're not finding out. Mainly because we want the surprise but also because in a huge tomboy and hate how gendered baby/kid things are. Power to you, the guilt from family (and who are we kidding, absolute strangers)is real.

I am pregnant with my third, and we won't be finding out the gender. Our firsts gender was a surprise at birth and I will never forget that moment! We found out at 18 weeks with our second, and it was neat to know, but I kind of missed that element of surprise.

My sister wants to do a reveal party .. So we will all find out then (even my husband and I) hopefully the technician can write it down without blowing it lol thought that would be a fun and exciting thing to do .

This is our 1st and we are not finding out! People are telling us we are selfish because they can not but us anything, and we will not things prepared! But we dont care, we want it to be a supeise, and it will spur me on in labour because ill be dying to find out!

I am pregnant with my first and I don't want to find out the gender. Sure, it's nice to know so you can plan but what really more do you need to know to plan? You're having a baby, that should help plenty! 😉 plus I don't want pink or blue dominated items from showers etc. 
A few friends of mine have said it best. One said that there are so few true surprises in life so why not keep gender as one of them for you and your SO. Another friend made a strong point in saying that by not knowing you are letting your SO 'experience' the pregnancy. For once during the 9mos, he will be the one to experience something and before you. And he can tell you if it's a boy or girl when born. The idea of letting my husband experience that first and the excitement he will have in telling me really won me over. 😍

We are pregnant with our second. With our first, we didn't find out, and with the second we are finding out. I'm glad I had the experience on not finding out, but am also glad to be finding out this time. Here are some thoughts to think about....

No matter when you find out, it is always a surprise. It is just a matter of when you find out the surprise.

If the gender matters to you, you don't want to have a "disappointing" moment when it is supposed to be one of the happiest moments.

It didn't hit me right away when my husband announced what the baby was because I was so overwhelmed with emotions from having a baby.

Don't get me wrong, not knowing was nice. It keep us in suspense. It also kept us from having a ton of blue or pink things right away. It allowed us to have more gender neutral things now for our second baby. We were excited to wait, just like we are excited to find out.

You have to do what you and your hubby want.

We decided we are going to have the person taking the sonogram, write in a card. My hubby and I are going out to dinner and opening it together to find out. And then we are having a reveal dinner for our families. We are very excited. Good luck in which ever way you choose. I'm sure either way you will be happy.

I don't want to find out the sex! My husband does though. I'm 11 weeks now so I have 9 more weeks to dissuade him. :)
