So I woke up today with my right nipple in like burning intense pain! A closer look shows a little white spot (to the left of my nipple in the picture) it almost feels like a pimple ya know when you get a huge one not ready to be popped yet and it hurts real bad? Yeah like that, but on my fricken nipple! However I don't think it's actually a pimple but it does look like one. I've been exclusively breast feeding my daughter for the whole 7 weeks now.. But with a nipple shield ☹️ I don't like having to use it but as you can see, I have flat nipples and my preemie daughter simple could never latch onto them. Yes I still try to ween, it doesn't happen. The only way I can breastfeed Noelle is with a shield on. Which I heard can cause clogged ducts from not adequately draining the breast which I don't think she does because she cluster feeds. She eats for×15 minutes and then wants to eat again within 30 usually. It sucks. Anyways what the hell is wrong with my nipple because it's hurting so dang bad I've been crying. My breast also feels really full, and I took a bath to try to help the pain and it leaked the whole time so I know it IS really full too so could it be a clogged duct? I don't believe it's thrush. I'm debating weather to go in but it's Sunday so id have to use the hospital I think, or should I wait for the clinic tomorrow?
