Ameda purely yours breast pump?

So I was super excited that my insurance covered my breast pump and I placed an order for it. I thought it was going to be the Madela breast pump well when I opened my box it was the Ameda purely yours double electric pump? I haven't heard of anyone using this type? Anybody have an feedback on this pump? Good or bad. Thanks!

I used it (still have it) and just like you wanted the Medela. I didn't really like it all to well. The flow wasn't as smooth and consistent as the Medela. And it made my nipples more sore. Also the suction is not strong at all. Almost felt as though I was doing it manually.

I know its too late now, but you can order through sites like byram and choose which pump you want. They will give you a list of ones your insurance covers. Your insurance probably just sent the cheapest (not knocking it!) That was on their approved list. I orderded the freemie this time as i still have a medela from last time.

I disagree with the others. I loved my medela. However, I loved my ameda even more. I was able yo pump nearly double that which I got from medela. Weird, I know, as the ameda didn't quite have the power. I also found that my Ameda was more portable and easier to take around than my bulky medela.

I have it and I don't mind it. Of course it's not the best but it's free and gets the job done. I refuse to pay $200+ for a breast pump I'm only gonna use for a year or less.
