Which bottle to trust?

Question

So when I pump, the pumping bottles measure...oh say...6 oz total, but when I pour it into the baby's bottle, it measures 5.5 oz total. Which one is correct? It's seriously annoying to record the pumped measurement but have the baby bottle decrepancy!!! I use the Medela Pump in Style Advance and PlayTex VentAire bottles

You have to remember that when transferring milk over you lose a bit of milk due to the transfer itself.   The discrepancy isn't that big to where transfer loss wouldn't be a reason.

Can you use the pumping bottles for baby without transferring to a new bottle? Maybe you are losing half an ounce somewhere.
