Should I mention it to my husband?

Hi. I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant and my husband travels a lot for work. This is his last trip before he remains local until the baby comes, but at the moment, he's 7 hours (driving distance) away. For about an hour now, I've been feeling what feels like period cramps, and tightening in my lower back along with them. I don't remember a whole lot, but I know this is similar to what I felt during my back labor with my first child. I ignored it as back pain for a while with my first pregnancy, I had no idea it was labor. Now I'm worried I'm experiencing back labor again. I normally wouldn't say anything until the pain got much worse, and I was SURE that's what it is, but with my husband being so far away, I don't know if I should mention it to him and risk him freaking out and hopping on a plane to come home for a false alarm, or if I should just keep it quiet to see if the pain gets worse and risk him not getting home in time. Any advice? What would you do? And is it common to have back labor if you've already experienced it?
