Who's learned a new language?

What language and how did you do it?!
Any tips or fun games/activities you did that helped you? 😊

Try duo lingo I'm fluent in French and Spanish so I don't need to learn it but it's a fun way to brush up on my skills.

I learned Mandarin Chinese as my husband is Taiwanese and that is his first language.  I took two years of Chinese class to learn how to speak, read, and write traditional characters at my local junior college.

Also used online programs and typing software.

The most influential part in learning and MAINTAINING the language was using it every day.  I have a lot of Chinese speaking friends which made this easier, and I also live in an area where I could use it to order food or go shopping.

If you do not have that, then I suggest watching tv shows it films in that language.

English.

Everyone forced me to only speak English, and I would leave the tv on all night and day to learn English even when I slept. It was torture, my sister made me rewrite an entire book to practice writing and spelling.
