Feeding schedules are a joke. Seriously, if you have your kid on one, you must be God. Because if I wake this kid up to eat, he goes to sleep and will not eat until he's ready. Never fails.

Don't buy a bunch of newborn anything. Before he was 2 weeks old he was out of newborn diapers and by the time he was 4 weeks he was out of newborn clothes. And he only weighed 7'11 at birth

Everyone and their dog will want to tell you what is best. Trust your gut and do what you think is best.

Do not trust that just because your newborn is sleeping 6 hours at night that they will continue to do that. They'll throw you a curve ball.

The umbilical cord stump can bleed some. I freaked out when I saw blood. But it was normal. It was dark red though so it wasn't fresh blood.

Don't get discouraged if you have to supplement with formula. You're not a terrible person.

Also don't get discouraged if you hate breastfeeding. Some people just don't like it.

If you have a boy, for the love of all that is holy, remember to point his little penis down unless you want to be changing his clothes everytime he pees out the side if his diaper.
