Opks not working?

First round of clomid OB said 5 to 9 days after my last dose I should ovulate. I'm five days past and my opks are still negative. I've opked for 3 years and only once have I have a postive opk and it was a digital. The actually stick test was negative. Now I'm experiencing cramps and my opks are still negative. I'm lost
