Partner is going to miss first scan.

My partner cant get time off work for my scan on Monday as work say it's short notice. I'll be 7 weeks and it's my first scan. I'm having an early scan because I'm a high risk pregnancy as I have a thyroid disorder. I can't help but feel annoyed that fathers can't get antenatal appointments off as well. It's awful. I live in the UK.
