Cold Turkey Swaddle

Four nights ago my husband and I had a major scare. Our baby is 5mo this Tuesday and we were full swaddling her. Our ped said keep with it until she can roll over and she seemed to be liking it. We would get 4 hour chunks and she would eat twice per night. Long story short, we woke up one morning with her face totally nuzzled down. It scared the absolute crap out of us. She was completely fine, but after that we decided to completely take her out of the swaddle...no transition at all. Little did we know it was the best decision ever!! The last three nights she has slept completely through the night. Not getting up once to eat. It's AMAZING!! We also put her in her own room in her crib. Apparently ripping off the band aid is a good thing haha. Any similar experiences??
