So I'm 16 (I'll be 17 at the end of the month) and the guy I'm talking to is 18. We were deciding on whether or not to wait to date, because we know it's not illegal for us to date, but he's worried if we date it might lead to other things (👉🏼👌🏼) and THAT is technically illegal. Do you guys think that I would be ok? Or so you think that we should wait??

In tennessee i was told that if you're four years or less apart in age and you give consent and no one complains then it's okay. Past that it's illegal. As long as no one freaks out and says he raped you then you two will be fine but definitely don't have sex if he's not so sure about it or if you aren't

Assuming you're in the U.S. look up your local laws on that! Normally it's 3 or less years apart in age and if he's over 18 with parents permission. When I was 16 I dated a guy who was 18. Generally, it is perfectly fine as long as your parents are okay with it!

Well being together and hanging sex even when one of you is overage is fine as long as you have parent approval. And besides, it's only really a 1.5-ish year difference, so you guys are fine

Where i live the age of consent is 16 so it is actually legal to have sex but it probably depends where you live
