Who had to get an epidural after being induced with pitocin? Are the contractions that painful with it?

I was induced at 34 weeks with petocin. I felt none of my contractions. Too this day I have no idea what a contraction feels like. I'm really nervous to give birth this time in fear of finding out what contractions feel like. 😂

With my first daughter I was induced at 8 am, was in full labor with regular contractions by about 1 pm. Did not get an epidural till almost 1:30am when they came in during a contraction and said this is the last time we can offer you one. I caved and said yes. Had my daughter at 1:55. I definitely could have gone the next 25 min and did it but they scared me with that "last chance " crap lol

With my daughter I was started on pitocin at like 4am and didn't get the epidural till 2pm cause I have to have an emergency c section. I'll say this, yes they are super painful but I still felt I could have handled it. I'm trying natural again this time without the epidural.

Every one is different. I managed without getting any pain relief, but thats me. Every one has a different pain threshold. Just be open minded and see how you go at the time. If you need an epi, go for it.

Dragged the Dr out of pre op for another csection to do my epidural after pitocin. It would have been a few hours if I hadn't right then. Yeah, it sucked... I was put on a pump. I actually got rest afterward and could control it to a point!

Oh my god pitocin is awful, you don't get a second to breathe with those contractions I was in so much pain and the epidural only worked on one side for 10 minutes then it finally kicked in on both sides but even feeling pain on just one side was unbearable! They hit you unbelievably hard, but the epidural brought me so much relief when it started working everywhere.

I ended up getting the epidural after 5 hours of back labor.  It didn't do anything for me.  Personally I wouldn't get it again but tons of women love it.  Do what you want to do.

I wasn't sure how to answer! 
My contractions were so bad that I wanted an epidural, but it didn't work so I had to do it without.
So I had no pain relief except for gas during contractions, but I absolutely would have had an epidural if I could have.

I will only consider pitocin this time if my only other option would be a c-section. Pitocin makes your contractions come on so fast and so hard; your body doesn't even have a chance to work up to the pain. Avoid it if you can!
