First period after a C-section

After my first c-section I had a relatively normal period and I do suffer with fibroids, that was six years ago. I had my second c-section 5 weeks ago got my period 4 days ago. It started normal now I'm on day four and I'm changing pad and tampon every 30-min to an hour I have no pain. Even with my fibroids I've never had my period be so heavy. It's only been this heavy today I'm going to get an appointment to see my GP. Anyone else experienced this?
