Cosleeping moms - where do you put your sleeping babies?

Question

I know it is not safe to leave a baby in an adult bed, so where do you put your babies when they're asleep for the night and you're not? I just stay with mine but I prefer not to go to bed at 7pm so if you have any ideas, I am open 😂😂

I don't want to have to get up early so I transitioned my baby into going to bed around 930 or 10 so that I would be going to bed too usually. I think it's kind of ridiculous to put my babe to bed so early because then he gets up at like 6 AM and I don't want to be up at 6 AM.

We did this & it's great... Soon we will use it as a normal crib beside our bed...

My comfy bed :) its a california king bed. She has her own side but some how manages to find her way to me lol

We have mesh rails on the sides of our beds(Amazon has them) they are big and long. Baby still co sleeps with me because she's still up several times a night. However, she is starting to crawl like crazy and unlike my first is super adventurous! I've decided to start putting her in the crib first part of the night to be on the safe side.

I just started putting him to bed in the crib at the beginning of the week but had him in my bed before that. I have a mesh bedrail on one side, other side is against the wall, and I put pillows at the foot of the bed to help block him from falling off. I would leave him alone asleep but carry the monitor everywhere and go right to him if he woke up (he never moved around, always cried for me if he woke up when I wasn't there). He started waking up early morning (between 3am and 5) and scooting around the bed without waking me though, so I decided if we continued bedsharing in my bed he would eventually end up falling off. Now he's doing the first part of the night in the crib, and I'm sleeping on a futon on the floor of his room so when he wakes up later on in the night I put him on the futon with me as I don't trust myself not to fall asleep nursing him in the rocker. At some point I'd like to be able to go back to sleeping in my own bed though, and with my boyfriend who started sleeping on the couch early on (he can't sleep without tv). Gonna miss the baby snuggles too though, I know.

My baby tends to sleep later, so fortunately I can just stay with her.  But I also got a mesh rail for the bed for when I'm not with her, to keep her from falling out that way.
