I know TMI but does anyone else have Horrible constipation ?! 🙁

I've had the worst constipation the last month been taking Colace and Merilax also some Philips tablets and still can't go :( Does anyone else have this problem now and if so have you got relief ? How so ? Also almost seems like everytime I eat I get the hiccups so aggravating lol 😂😝 #5WeeksToday !!!

I'm 30 weeks and I hate to scare you but it gets ALOT worse. I thought I was severely constipated early on and now nothing compares. Not even close. I take pericolace, fiber powder, drink LOTS of water AND eat foods that are supposed to help keep things goin and I am still in pain. This last Monday I had to call into work cause I thought I was going to go into labor. I was breathing all heavy, I kept getting the urge to poop and nothing was happening. My husband was there and was so scared. I had a hemmroid the size of a grape. Finally after like 6 hrs (not exaggerating) with standing in the shower, squatting over the toilet, laying down and napping for a couple hrs so my hemmroid would shrink I got the urge again to poop and I did. I pushed forever and it was hard as a frikkin rock and it hurt so bad. Unfortunately this whole scenario happened again last night. My poor butthole is in so much pain and nothing helps. I'm terrified of having to use the toilet again and even to pee it hurts. Praying yours doesn't get this bad.

Prunes and apples helped me a lot. A cup of coffee and 5 prunes in the morning. Apple juice or apple cider during the day. Lots of water (like 8-10 glasses) and snacking on apples (at least 2 a day). Warm liquids tend to help better than cold liquids. Warm water with some lemon in it is another possible remedy. The doctor said iron rich vegetables like spinach can make it worse. Still eat them, just don't eat them all day every day. Eat other vegetables and fruits that are high in fiber - fresh berries, prunes, apples, dried fruit, beans, lentils, raw broccoli, leafy greens, nuts and seeds, artichokes, brussel sprouts, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, brown rice. Also, yogurt could help. I basically stopped eating meat and lived off of fruits and vegetables for several days until I could go. And now I keep up eating lots of fruits and vegetables to prevent constipation.

Urgh don't get me started! It's really caused severe problems in all 3 of my pregnancies so far! I take a laxative that's safe in pregnancy, here in Dubai it's called duphalac and it's so good, it helps a lot, but my friend suggested I eat prunes coz at least that way I'm not using any medication, and I really don't like prunes but forced myself and ate abt 5 pieces and wow they really did the trick! I was super skeptical but honestly they really worked! Guess it doesn't hurt to try? Good luck and hope u feel better!
