Got pregnant before taking anything while having pcos??

Been dealing with PCOS since 25 and never thought too much about it as i was single back to the time,

And finally met the man i want to spend rest of my life with and PCOS became my biggest concern

Told by doctor that i need the help of Metformin or possible IVF to get pregnant but i didnt choose either way but instead i tried seek for Chinese Medicine, and 3 months later here i am, 6 wks pregnant now

Regardless how many rules i need to follow by the chinese medicine point of view (eg, no ice in water, cant eat anything is cold or just come out from fridge and freezer, wear socks to bed at night, wear nanna undies high up to your waistline, no salads at all etc)

Heard few of friends with PCOS tried accupucture and it worked for them too

I was told i had pcos and was about to start birth control to control it. They told me start taking them after my next period. Well that period never came lol turns out i was pregnant.

I was diagnosed at 15 I was on Bc and metformin since then. I have yoyo weight loss, but between December when I went off Bc until now I've lost 40 pounds. We were about to go back on because I was sure I couldn't get pregnant. Well a week before my period was late (mind you since I went of Bc my periods were every month consistently.)  I took a dollar store test and well I'm now 8 weeks

I did at age 20 with my daughter. She was a complete surprise. But I was much thinner and fitter then. Now that I'm 25 and quite a bit heavier we tried for a year and finally tried clomid. I took it once and it made me hormonal and crazy so I wouldn't take it again. 6 months later I got pregnant on my own with quadruplets and am now 24 weeks tomorrow with my quad girls!

I was diagnosed at 17 with pcos. Told I'd probably never have kids, esp with out help (medications etc). At 19 my Dr started me on metformin and birth control. 6 months later I unexpectedly got pregnant (while still on birth control). Gave birth to a healthy baby girl, who is now 10 years old. Fast forward a few years we started trying for baby number 2. Nothing. For 6 years we tried to get pregnant. Even had failed clomid rounds, and a few years of vitex. In 2015 I decided to focus on myself and losing weight. And I gave up eating all dairy (because of stomach issues I was having at the time). Started a new job, was very active. By 2016 we had given up trying for a baby. At the end of January we moved to a new house out in the country, got a puppy, I had lost nearly 85lbs by then and was moving on with my life and accepted we would just have our one little miracle daughter. Feb and March my cycles had started to become more regular on their own. And March 17th I decided to take a test because was feeling super emotional and my previous cycle had only been 25 days so was technically late. To my surprise it came up positive!!! First time in 10 years and all the years of ttc. We are now 29 weeks along with another beautiful little girl. Zero medication to get pregnant, I had even stopped taking my prenatals.  Pregnancy is going great, my BP had been awesome and No GD either. Feel so blessed. :)

Currently 16 weeks after 6 years TTC.  2 years on our own, 3 years with an RE, and 6 months with an IVF Clinic.

I conceived via first IUI using metformin (3 years by then), clomid 25mg, Follistim, and Lupron Trigger Shot.

Every woman with PCOS is different and your doctor has to figure out which medicine, dosage and combination works for you.  ☺️

I was diagnosed as a teenager with it but had been told since the age of 10/11 it would be difficult if not impossible to become pregnant due to previous illnesses. I had been on birth control since 16 and went off it at 24 1/2. I've only took metformin for a few months when I was first diagnosed but I didn't like how it made me feel so I stopped. I became pregnant two weeks or so before my 26th birthday. So it took basically a year and a half of unprotected sex to become pregnant. It is possible. Don't give up hope, just try to keep your blood pressure down. I also got pregnant at my heaviest weight. So i feel like I'm one of the lucky ones and that it was just Gods plan for me and my husband.

I don't have it personally, but my SIL does. She was told it's a tough road but totally possible. There have also been a few women on forums like this who are pregnant with PCOS. It can be done! But perhaps taking treatment would make it easier.

I did. I was diagnosed as a teen with pcos, and thought I was never going to be able to get pregnant naturally or at all due to other Heath conditions that prevent me from being able to take hormone supplements to fix the pcos symptoms. Well shortly after getting with my now husband we conceived, it resulted it a loss, but 8 months later we conceived again. I am now 36 weeks. God has a plan for us all. ❤️

I was never actually diagnosed with pcos. My doctors had run some tests and I had allllll the symptoms of it so they told me they were 95% sure I had it. I stopped my birth control because my hubs was deploying and we figured no point in me taking it when I won't be able to conceive naturally anyway and within 6 months of stopping it I got pregnant. My doctors say I either don't have pcos or my son is basically the .0001 % that they thought I could conceive naturally. They won't run anymore tests until after he's born to confirm what it actually is. (Sorry if I'm not much help since I don't actually know if I have it 😕)
