advice?!

Question

I've been contracting since about 4 this afternoon, now they are about every 5-6 minutes apart. But everyone says that you shouldn't go to the hospital till you are unable to talk through them. 
This is my second pregnancy, but the first one was weird and I don't remember ever being at that point!  Anyone else?  Or do I just stay home?!

That's not true! I talked through my contractions, and mine were not painful just more cramps and irritating every 4-5 mins is when I went in to hospital. 
Once I got there, I undressed got in to the robe so they can check and monitor, I went to bathroom and my water broke. 
They hooked me up to monitor the pain increased and got closer. I was in active labor went from a 4cm to 7cm in less then 10 mins. 
I had him 25 mins later!!! 
I would go in now!

I'd say head to L&D now it's better to be safe than have to prepare to deliver a baby at home if that isn't in the plans... besides 5 minutes a part is usually when you should head there. When you arrive at the hospital just walk around for a bit.

I would go in just to be safe, my doctor told me to go in once they are 5 mins apart. Good luck momma!
