Anybody finding gender at birth?

So we are waiting for the big reveal at birth. Who else is doing this? Are your friends and loved ones upset? I keep getting alot of negative remarks from those who want to give gifts and what not. Looking for some support ladies!

People put WAY too much importance on gender especially when  it comes to babies.  There is absolutely no reason why they should have an issue with gender neutral clothing,  bottles,  etc etc.  Books are gender neutral!  And so are car seats or cribs or blankets or toys.  Sure it can be fun to get the blue stuff with trucks or the extra frilly pink outfit,  but there will be PLENTY of time for stuff like that after the baby is here.

Just stay confidant in your decision.  You want a surprise so don't let anyone bully you into their own preferences.

Third baby and have waited to be surprised for all three! You don't get many surprises in life I think this one is the best!

We are waiting, currently 27w4d and everyone is saying "it would be so much easier to buy stuff if you knew what you're having". How about it's not up to everyone else and I want to be surprised as there are so few real surprises in life

We waited with our last baby and it was the best surprise ever. Family and friends gave us a hard time but I didn't care. We are doing it again with this pregnancy

We waited until birth with our last baby, & it was the best surprise ever. People had annoying comments but I would just remind them who's baby this was & that I didn't care what they thought, lol. It is very very worth it though.

We're waiting to find out too. Some of my husband's family gives us a hard time about it, but we haven't had anybody really upset and insisting that we find out. My husband was probably the most upset about it but he's accepted that he's just not going to win this one and I think he's actually kind of excited about it now. Most people have actually had very positive reactions when we tell them it's a surprise.

We are waiting to find out as well. Everyone seems to back our decision Anthony sometimes I think his mum wishes we would as she is desperate for a granddaughter. She has 5 grandsons.

I am 38.5 weeks and I am still staying strong. Lol
Yeah people have been running their mouths at me because I want to wait...but in the end it is your choice!!!:)
And it saves you a bit of money...lol

38.5 weeks and waiting to find out! My SO's family has given the hardest time, because they think it's harder to choose gifts (and because they're just impatient and want to know! No one in the family has ever waited to find out.). I just politely point out that they have the whole rainbow except for pink and purple, and we have plenty of gender neutral items on our registry if they would like to give a gift. As someone else pointed out, books are a great gender neutral item! I'm not a fan of excessive bows and frills anyway :) 
fortunately, waiting to find out is kind of tradition in my family. My sister is also expecting and we like to commiserate about how annoying it is to field all of the questions and comments.

This is my fourth pregnancy and with all the others I found out what we are having. I couldn't wait. But this is our last baby and I have been just enjoying every moment and finding out what we are having is the last things on my mind lol. So we decided to wait for birth. We are so excited but like you, we have had a lot of friends and family  who are giving us a very hard time. But I just let them know that this is mine and my husbands baby and we made this decision together and I would like it if they would just support that. But it is so annoying lol
