I don't need my parents approval but they are extremely understanding people and no matter who I decide to marry I know they'll approve as long as in happy

My parents didn't approve initially. My dad approved in the end but my mum is still against it. You have to make a judgement call - is why they are refusing to approve a valid reason? My mum just isn't keen on the nationality difference but that's not a good enough reason to disapprove in my opinion.
