Wine (in moderation) while pregnant? 🍷

What are your thoughts? Experiences?

While I doubt 1 here or there would do harm why risk it. I personally am staying away from it during pregnancy as if something were o happen I would feel very guilty even if it was unrelated. I'm a wine lover but if u can't stay sober for 9 months you have bigger problems. Just my thought.

My doctor said 2 glasses of red wine a week was ok after the 1st trimester. I'm a wine-o and I don't always have a glass but I love that I can still have one while I'm relaxing at home if I want. Others will not agree with my doctor or my view on it but until I see their PhD I trust my doctors advice 😊

There is no "safe" amount. 
Just like smoking pot and doing other drugs. 
Nothing is worth any sort of risk for my baby.to each their own.

There are different schools of thought on this.  Some think a little is ok and some think there is no such thing as a safe amount. My thoughts are,  we know for sure that fetal alcohol syndrome and other  issues exist,  and are confirmed to be caused by alcohol.  Why risk doing harm to your baby by drinking at all?  Some say that even one drink in your first trimester can cause fas. Idk how much truth there is to that,  but I tend to err on the side of caution.  Better safe than  sorry

I had an occasional glass to calm myself a few weeks ago when major floods were happening in our area. Baby always kept moving and I'm confident she's fine. :)

My doc said here and there its fine. I don't really drink much wine but I do trust my doctor so if I wanted to drink it I totally would

I don't normally drink while pregnant, but I had a couple of very tough days with this last one. I had a glass of wine to help me relax. He's turned out perfectly healthy.

I had 1 red apple sangria each trimester. Baby gorlis 6 now, healthy &  strong. So many do's & donts now. Before the 90s women winged it. The baby booming decade of the 70s & early 80s was real & most of us are just fine. I think all of this extra trying to scare us stuff is making people sicker. And Im a L&D Nurse studying to be a P.A.

No if I have a craving I'll go get some grape juice etc.
