making mom friends?

I'm a teenager who is getting ready to have her baby. I haven't lost any of my friends, just grew our separate ways. They're preparing for homecoming, I'm preparing to have a baby. I'm 14, and all of the moms I know are older than me. I don't know, I don't want to feel alone after I become a parent. Advice?

There's nothing wrong with being friends with older mom's because in the end your both mom's! 
I'm 18 and even with my best friend it's hard because she can't relate. Honestly most my friends are older mom's and family!

I had my son at 14 I felt the same way but your not going to be lonely its just a part of becoming a parent.......... Don't feel bad seriously your baby is going to give u all the missing parts u thought u we're missing..........  It's been 4 years since I had my son and I promise you u are not going to regret not having friends because your child will be your best friend ......

I would suggest maybe looking into a mommy and me group in ur area. Even then u nay have trouble getting close.. You're still young and in guessing don't think like most grown women.. I could be wrong..

But goodluck. Maybe youll find a teen mom class or something.

Accept the choices of your actions. You can't play kid and worry about friendships anymore. Down the line you may make new friends, but now is the time to step up and be a strong mom for your child.

Search support groups in your area. Reach out to your school Social Worker. Search groups on Facebook??

I lost all my friends once I left school, I'm now 17 and 22weeks, my mums taking me to this mum to be morning cafe

It sucks, but even adults loose their friends when they become parents. Hopefully, you are part of a teen parent program and can meet people there who are going through the same thing. Not sure what type of programs your city offers. When your baby is here, you will meet people at the park, mommy and me classes, etc. Just give it some time. And once the baby is here, you will most likely too tired to worry about what other people your age are doing.

Just stay focused on the baby and finishing school. Those are the most important things right now.
