179beats a min! does this mean 💗??

Hello ladies! I just went for my first ultrasound and I am 8 weeks along . The heartbeat was 179 a min which the tech commented was fast . Ppl say the faster the heartbeat the more likely a girl. Lower is a boy supposedly . I just wanted to know what results all of U got?? Any of u had babies that followed the rule ? Or no?

My son's was 173 at 9 weeks and 5 days. The heartbeat wives tale is just a wives tale, I'm afraid.

It's just a heartbeat. That is the myth, high girl, low boy. But plenty of people have it all ways. Plus baby heartbeats get lower as they grow bigger and the heart doesn't have to pump as fast. I'm having a boy and he's been 140 to 150 the whole time.

My son started at 180 at his first few appt. Now at 37+3 it was 140-150 at my appt I went to today

Mine was between 175-180 at that time and it is a boy the beats per min mean nothing it gets lower as time goes on he is down in the 130's now

My daughters heart beat was always around 148.  This time around our little boys heart beat was constantly at 175 until about 22 weeks. The heartbeat gender test is a myth and there is no scientific evidence to support otherwise.

Mine at 8 weeks was around 160something.so it was pretty high I guess, and it's a girl.
