scared of sleeping alone?

Do you ever get scared of going back to sleep when your SO goes off to work? I'm currently home alone and his parents don't lock the door because they are in and out all the time. I have a dog here but he's stubborn and won't stay with me 😞 I'm pregnant and moving into my own home soon for god sakes! What the hell am I doing!!! I think it's because I've started to have vivid dreams and nightmares, even though he's only gone for four hours on his morning shift I'll sleep until he's back but I'm terrified of waking up to another nightmare again. I'm so tired and have morning sickness I don't know what to do 😞

I hate being home alone. I live in a 2 bed flat, second floor. Need a fob to get in the main door. But somehow I won't go asleep till my BF is in, even if it means no sleep for work, it's mad!😔

My partner works up to 5 nights a week. This week he's doing 4 so he's off Saturday and Sunday and whenever he goes to work at 9pm, I start to worry. There's a security door to get through first before getting to my front door but I still don't feel safe. There's so many ways someone can make their way into your home. Any noise I hear I stay awake for like 2-3 hours to make sure I'm not being stupid. I wake up at 5:30 every morning and reopen all the windows to get air in because it starts getting light then. I go back to sleep and he is home at 7am. 
Being pregnant has made me feel more protective. So I lock everything and everywhere every single night, the moment he leaves and I have to check it at least 4 times before going to sleep

Just ask his parents if they mind locking the door and taking a key? Just say you were always raised to lock the door and it freaks you out for it to be open while you are alone.

My husband is swing shift.  I hate when he works his 4 overnights! I lock and dead bolt all doors. Set the alarm. I can't lock my bedroom door because my 8 year old is across the hall. I have two pits that stay in the backyard so I feel somewhat safe. But we have two front doors. And our house is rather large.

Go in your room and lock the door so at least no one can get in there!
