Am i wrong?

Question

I am due in 9 days (24th sept) and my boyfriends ex's daughter is meant to be coming to stay for a week as from this saturday. My boyfriend is not the childs father. Hes litterally just her mothers ex. The daughter is meant to be staying as her current guardian is going on holiday. Am i wrong in saying im not happy about it? I wouldnt mind any other time its just the timing! I dont want the responsibility of trying to sort out someone elses child if i have to go to hospital and i dont want to be looking after another child thats not our own with a newborn. I dont know if im over reacting. This girl is 13. She doesnt want to go back to her mums as she doesnt like her new boyfriend. This man has done nothing wrong to her. I think she is just being a stubborn 13 year old. 
Whats your opinion? Should she stay? Or should she go elsewhere?
Like i say, if i wasnt due during the time she will be here then i wouldnt mind. She always behaves when shes here. Or even if she was my boyfriends daughter she could stay. Her mother hates me! She has accused me of kidnapping her before just out of spite. HELP!

He sounds like the father figure to this girl. Who cares if he's not the biological father? He was in a relationship with her Mom serious enough that she sees him as her safe haven. It sounds like he's taken on that fatherly role. Yes, you are due with a baby soon. That doesn't mean the world stops turning. With your first it's also statistically likely you will deliver late anyway. I would ask my SO to have a back up plan for her so he can make it to the hospital and let him handle the rest. I would tell him you don't want extra added stress and have him mitigate the rest, and I would get over the rest. I have three kids and we made it work for the birth of each of them without family to help. It sounds like you have an amazing man there who takes on a child who isn't his. The world doesn't revolve around you.

I would say no way! Its not fair of her mother or your boyfriend to impose another child onto you so close to your due date. I would say sorry, but no--i'm not babysitting while impending labor is approaching. That would be severely annoying! Tell her mom she's going to have to find another babysitter.

She's old enough to behave and sit with your family at the hospital. Make sure he knows who will watch her should you go into labor and communicate that to her mom. It's possible you won't even be in labor while she's there.

That far along you are miserable and ready to pop. I do not blame you for feeling that way. Trust me. I love my kids, but when I get that far I don't think I'll be able to handle them alone all day every day.
