My son grunts and sweats instead of cries...
Hello mamas,
As a first time mom, I've been surprised at my son's lack of crying. He is a little over 3 weeks old now and I've only heard him wail 3 times (the moment of his birth, night #2 after birth, and recently one time when he couldn't be fed on demand). He will cry out but it never really lasts. I do notice however, that when he's upset/uncomfortable he grunts, breathes really hard and fast, and then starts to sweat. Sometimes he sweats so much his hair is wet and we have to change his clothes. I've talked to my midwives and everyone says he's a thriving baby who has a calm temperament he just shows his discomfort in a more internal way. Anyone else have experience with their babies like this? Just curious...
