Is it okay to kiss on first date? (17and18year olds)

Like me and my current boyfriend have been together for 4 months now and he texted me first on May 4th. We chatted for two days and he asked me to go out. We met on 6th of May and the date was so amazing, like it felt like we have known each other for many years. And in the end of the date we both kissed. We both knew that it was supposed to happen, like there was no force or something. He is 18 and I'm 17 now. I'm his first girlfriend ever.
