Does anyone have a ureteral stent? Please help!

Question

Does anyone have any insight on what I should expect with a Ureteral stent? I had the stent placed at 24 weeks due to severe hydronephrosis in the right kidney and a 100% blockage of my right ureter. The baby and uterus is the cause of the obstruction. I am currently 28 weeks and experiencing swelling to my hands, lower legs, feet, eye lids, and right flank back area. I have blood clots in my urine and sometimes have difficulty urinating. I'm ALWAYS in pain or discomfort. Has anyone experienced this? I feel like I can't take much more but in reality what choice do I have?

I don't have a lot of insight on the stent, but I had horrible renal colic related to stress of the ureter from either a stone or just being in the way. I didn't have significant blockage and they put me on flomax and it eased my pain considerably. 
I don't think the pain and clots your having sound good, I would absolutely follow up with your urologist... the stent is supposed to provide relief and it doesn't sound like it's doing much of that!
I'm sorry I'm not more help, but I know you're must be in a lot of pain and discomfort and I hope it's something you can resolve soon!

I had that and omg it was awful. I went and got it removed within one week and no problems since then. I had it at the same time as you and for the same reason. See if they can remove it!
