How to get baby to sleep?!

My baby just recently started this but he will NOT go to sleep unless I am holding him or at least have my hand on him. He will stay up and fuss until I lay right next to him or hold him, he used to fall asleep in his swing then I would put him in his crib, now if I put him anywhere else besides with me he wakes up instantly. Any ideas on what to do?
