FTM Here! How Painful Was Delivery?

Question

Due in January and just want to know from both natural and epidural standpoints.

5 before epidural and 0 after it 😁 and I'm being induce tomorrow at 4 am and I hope everything goes the same way as it did almost 5 years ago.

Between a 5-7 for me. I went all natural no pain meds. The beginning contractions were a 1-3 for the first few hours then intensified until baby was born. Nothing unbearable and I kept thinking they would get worse. I suggest to anyone who can: labor in water, it cuts the pain way down and walk or stay upright as much as you can. Midwives call laboring in water an aquaderal.

After the epidural it's pretty awesome. Cant feel much of anything except pressure. Before epidural, not so much. I didn't even let them get to terrible, i can't imagine going hours and hours naturally.
