Does it get easier

Question

This weekend my husband and i were watching our niece and nephew.. Ages 3 and 15 months.. We went to the play ground and i about had a heart attack... Walking down slide , carrying drink and falling on the step.... The 15 month old... I was afraid they were going to get hurt... We dont see them very often due to them living out of state... Does it get easier when u have your own children..... Or worse...I dont do well with a messy house.... I know i should let them be kids and play safe..... Maybe im a too controlling person.... Im off the pill and on a prenatal.... Words of advise.. I never grew up with sibling... Let alone babysitting...ugh...

It depends. Yes it gets easier in my opinion because everyone's parenting is different. It's how u raise your children. My kids are very happy and playful but theyre also very calm. I get complements all the time about how well behaved they are. I also had my own daycare and some kids were the same age as my girls and were completely opposite.  So yes and no based on parenting I believe. Don't get scared. Best of luck

I, unfortunately, haven't been able to have children of my own yet...but one sister was born when I was 11 and the other was born when I was 24. Not to mention two cousins were born a few months apart from my first sister when I was 11. So I've had a lot of experience around children, and even more so now that I'm of age and have been trying to have my own for years now. Being around my 2 year old sister has really opened my eyes to a lot of things. Children are messy. Especially at a younger age. It gets easier to teach them to help clean up after certain activities (like coloring. "Help me put the crayons away" things like that) or to pick up toys. But they're still messy with foods and drinks and that's okay because they're still learning. It will get easier as they grow. With newborns it's up the back and out the side poops and spit up. Once they can eat baby food, that gets pretty messy. They like to touch and taste and overall just get messy while eating (thankfully it's usually confined to a high chair. Still the spit up issue and the poop issue. Once they're over a year old and can eat more foods and drink more things, you still have the poop issue but not as often, the messy eating, the toys, vomit... kids are gross. I'm not going to lie. But it's still something we want with all our hearts. We know they aren't always cute and fun. They can be loud, fussy, frustrating, obnoxious, flat out disgusting (my almost 2 year old sister used my face as a snot rag just last night :D) but they haven't been around for very long. 23 months for her. You can't expect them to be born knowing everything right off the bat. As they age, you teach them to clean up as they go. In the early years...not so easy a task :D

It's easier with your own children. I used to watch my three nieces before I had my children. I am way more relaxed with my own kids.
