Flu shot????

Question

What's everyone's opinions on the flu shot while pregnant???
At the Dr the other day she asked if I wanted it and I said not today. She asked why and I told her I'm not completely comfortable with taking it until after Kira is born. I've never taken it before anyways.... She says OK and explains the my next visit will consist of a glucose test and the whooping cough vaccine. She then says we're good to go and leads us out of the room. On the way out she says oh by the way you will be getting a flu shot at your next visit as well.

I know it isn't mandatory and if I don't want it I won't get it. It bothers me that she was so pushy and demanding about something that's only about 50% effective has trace amounts of mercury and on an off chance can potentially harm her. 
What do you all think?????

It helps protect you and the baby, as they can't get their flu shot until 6 months I believe.

The risks aren't nearly as high as the benefits.

I have never had a flu shot in my life and I don't give them to my kids either. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I will be declining it again this season. I do other vaccinations but I don't trust the flu vaccines. Most vaccines are researched and tested for years before released to the public. Because the flu vaccine is different every year, the aren't able to test and research those vaccines for nearly as long, most likely a matter of months, not years. I will not be injecting myself or my children with a vaccine that is not throughly tested. The trace amounts of mercury don't actually bother me that much as food that grows in the ground and we eat have trace amounts of mercury. It's everything else I'm not comfortable with.

Whatever you get will protect your baby because once they are out of your belly they can't get the flu shot untill they are 5 months, so yes get the flu shot

I will be getting it even though I never did until we were TTC. I was hardly ever sick most of my life as I'm a bit of a germaphobe so I enjoy washing my hands/not touching common public spots/never touching a door handle/wearing disposable face masks when in crowded places 😆 My reasoning to have it is pregnancy weakens my immune system, this is my rainbow baby, and people here in Canada DO NOT use face masks when sick in public (you're seen as weird if you do 😳) and will walk around hacking and coughing away (so gross and inconsiderate). I don't want to be seriously sick with the flu while pregnant, especially since we've struggled to TTC#1 for two years.

Every time I got the flu shot, I ended up vomiting. I'm not convinced that it works and I probably won't be getting it. I know, I know.. Everyone says that it doesn't make you sick, but I disagree.

Well baby won't be able to get vaccines until 6 months so in my case I got the whooping and flu shots

I'm really on the fence about flu shot I'm due feb2nd and my midwife is pushing it but there's no clear evidence to back it up and I haven't had a flue shot since I was like 13 and haven't had the flu since way before that this is the insert from the flu vaccine box so I'm like ughh no true evidence but,the rats were okay so get it and participate in our study. Last year my mom had a really negative response to the flu,shot so idk yet
