Wait until they're happening 5 minutes apart for maybe a half hour. Meanwhile, do what you can to ease the pain. I hear a shower is good, but do this at your own risk and either have someone come in with you or make sure you have your phone in case of emergency and the door unlocked. I always have my phone on the floor next to the tub so that I can reach it if I fall.

I would go ahead and go. I waited longer than I should've and I progressed really quickly. I almost had my son in the car.
