Unexplained spotting

I'm 7w 5d and I've been having some spotting for the past week. No cramping, just brown spotting. Yesterday, I went to get it checked out. My cervix was closed and baby looked great on ultrasound. Doctors said that it should just clear up on it's own and just might be my new normal.

I went through the same thing with my son, but I was wondering if any of you ladies went through this with your pregnancies and what it turned out to be.
