how much sleep at hospital during induction and labor?

Getting induced Friday night with cervadil. How much sleep do you think SO and I will get Friday through the time we leave the hospital? Is any sleep realistic?

I had an overnight induction with cervidil. I didn't sleep much that night even though they gave me something because the bed was soo uncomfortable (it was a labor and delivery bed) and I was having contractions every 10-20 min. I didn't get any sleep the following night because I was in active labor; I finally got an epidural at 2:30 am to try to get some rest but my BP had to be checked every 15 min and I had to be turned every hour so I wasn't able to sleep at all. And the following two nights I got maybe 2-3 hours of sleep; that's all the baby allowed. Everyone slept much better once we got home. But this compounded sleep deprivation is no joke! Some days I can't believe I'm able to somewhat function.

My labor was about 8 hours long. Went in at 9 pm my water broke i wasnt dilated yet so i had to be induced and it was very painful for the first 4-5 hours before they would let me get an epidural and then after the epidural i was checked very frequently so i got no sleep. Then during that day all friends and family came visit and we had to stay one more night at the hospital and my little one was just having a rough first night so it was all crying and no sleeping until we went home

I was induced three weeks ago, went in at 7am and had the baby at 542pm. I only left the recovery room at 830pm and settled in my room at 930pm. The first night I slept pretty good but the second night was rough, baby fed lots. I wish I would have slept more during the day and had less visitors.

Hi, I got induced last Thursday at mid day and was not dilated. Had discomfort back ache and light stomach cramps by evening. 11.30pm waters broke and had her by 6.09am on Friday with only gas and air normal delivery. Everyone different I was really scared as thought induction was really going to hurt because of what I read on here. It built up for me how I imagine spontaneous labour does just quicker. I couldn't get sleep because mine was quick but they warned me induction could take 4 days. Personally glad was quick!  So you don't know. Good luck and just remember you will forget everything when your gorgeous baby is in your arms. However you will always be tired after as its a physical work out and pure relief. Xx

Well at first5:30am when I got there the contractions in the beginning kept me awake I hated it so much, the pains were horrible but at 4cm so about 2 or 3 hours later they gave me an epidural and I was able to sleep few hours but the nurses kept waking me up from checking on me. At 3pm my epidural was wearing off which was worst feeling then the contractions I felt before it. The pain was in my hips and pelvis. Well I had sat at 5cm from 10 to 3pm. So they had to go ahead and do emergency c-section because she was side ways in my pelvis and my.pelvis was to small to open up all the way for her (she was only 7 pounds which is average) she would have broken my pelvis plus she had swelling on her head from facing the wrong direction. She was faced up instead of facing my but cause she stubborn like her daddy. But by 4:26 my daughter was here and everything went well after ward. I'm two weeks pp and we are both healthy and  happy. Thanks to good lord having his hand over us. I pray you have quick and safe labor. It's very exciting but the pain is horrible but worth it
