My baby is a week old. His cord still hasn't fallen off and I know it could take up to 2 wks. However, every time I change his diaper, he has dried blood around it. I fold his diaper down, I only put him in jammies or onesies (no pants or bottoms) so there isn't anything resting on it. It doesn't drip blood or anything like that, it just gets jostled under his clothes I guess... is this normal? Should there be a little blood or do I have to worry that it's infected or not healing properly?? There is no funky smell or puss and it's not red around the area; but I don't remember my other 2 having blood around their cords.... Anyone else dealing with this?
