FTM. Today is my due date. I called in sick yesterday and today but told my boss I might come in tomorrow. She said I should think about starting my 6 week short term disability leave. I am only guaranteed 6 weeks off because I'm short by 47hrs for FMLA (less than 40hr/wk position) and really don't want to have even less time with baby...🙁 however I also really don't want to be at work as I hardly sleep and have major difficulty sitting...

I work in the U.S. for a major university. Any HR professionals or savvy parents out there with insight/advice?
