s/o lied?

Has your SO ever told you they "came" but then you're sitting there knowing they didn't? I think mine lied to me tonight when he told me he did, but the towel we clean up with was dry & I wasn't soaking wet like I normally would be... Not sure why he would do that but I'm sad he felt he had to lie to me. Advice?
