How did you know you miscarried and it wasn't a really late period?

I was 6 weeks 5 days along when I miscarried. I had ridiculously awful cramps all day and I started bleeding. At 7 weeks to the day I started bleeding a lot. I could have filled a pad in an hour. Then at 2 am I passed a wad. It sickens me to think about. And then I bled a lot more. I could have went to the ER but there was nothing they could do. The next morning I tested and I had a really faint line pregnancy test. And I didn't feel pregnant anymore. I felt empty and in pain.

The pain depends on how far along. I knew I was pregnant and started bleeding and cramping. Then I passed a quarter size amount of tissue. 6.5 weeks pregnant

What made me realize it wasn't a late period was when they tested my hormones(which your body only has when pregnant) and my hormones were decreasing, and then I passed my baby

I went to the doctors and ER for mine . But I could tell something wasnt right . I never bleed that much .
