What cold medicine can I take?

My husband and I have been trying to have another baby. We've been trying every single day. My 2 year old gave me his cold, and I'm very paranoid about what I take to ease my cold. Especially since I'm trying to convieve. My period is supposedly due on oct. 4th. But I don't wanna take anything that could cause a possible miscarriage or birth defects. Help please?

I'm not sure about cold medicines, but my hubby swears by the netty pot, especially if it's a sinus cold. It helps clear everything out. It's gross at first. I still struggle with it, but it really do feel like it helps with a lot of the annoying symptoms. Especially if you're coughing a lot from post-nasal drip. The best last about it is that it's just warm saline so there's no worry about it harming you or the possible baby. Good luck and feel better!!

Honestly I would just take the time to get over it. It's not good to try everyday for a baby give him time to build it up and give your body time to relax.
