If you had (have) long hair, did you (will you) cut it for when you have your baby?

Question

I have long hair, and I love it, and don't want to cut it! But I don't want it to be a pain after I have my baby. I've heard both sides. Just curious as to what you ladies think.

Coming from someone who tends to go from long to short all the time, don't cut it. Short hair is way higher maintenance. You always need to style it to make it look good and you can never get it out of your face unless you go pixie short. At least with long hair, you can pull it all back into a pony or bun.

My hair is just past my butt crack - I haven't trimmed it or anything for a couple years.
I will be getting it cut to above my shoulders before Christmas.  Not because of baby so much - more just because I'm way past due!

I actually just cut seven inches off of my hair and I feel amazing! It was just getting in the way all the time so I figured there was no need to keep it. Lol. :-P

So I donate my hair every 2-3 years. After my daughter was born I donated it again. The hair dresser didn't know that I was probably a month pp and she said if she had known she wouldn't have cut it because apparently at her beauty school they advise against cutting a mothers hair until they're 6 or 9 pp, maybe because it's a considered a drastic decision?? Not sure if that's true everywhere but that's what she said to me. But I guess just a heads up if you decide to after you have your baby.

My hair is very long. I'm not cutting it. I'll probably wear it up a lot more! But when I wear it down I want it to be long still

I had to cut mine at the 14 Wk mark with all of my pregnancies as that is when I would start with tension head aches. If you are getting it cut keep it long enough to tie back as this will be your new look. I'm glad I cut mine not just from the headache point of view but you have a lot less time on your hands once bubs is born and shorter is just easier to manage.

Mines long. Always has been. The thought of cutting it short gives me anxiety lol. I do get frustrated that I don't have time like I used to to straighten/curl it & wear it down alot. but i do love that I can do plenty of up styles being busy mum of 2.5 yr old with 2nd on way. I'm always wearing a 'mum bun' lol x

Don't cut it before labor. A friend of mine got a hair cut that was shorter than she thought it would be. It made her crazy that she couldn't put her hair in a ponytail for labor and felt sweaty and covered with hair her whole labor.
