HELP!!!!! 😭😏Spotting at 29 weeks pregnant

Is it normal to spot at 29 weeks pregnant? I was just at the e.r. Tuesday because I thought I was further along, and having contractions. But the doctor told me it was an irritable uterus , and Braxton Hicks contractions. I've had some spotting yesterday and today. But, no pain. I was on my feet for a long time yesterday, and moving around a lot , more than usual. My son is moving more than 10 times each our. Has anyone else had this? Also on tuesday he said my cervix is still closed, and still thick.
