How do I decide?

So I'm going to be starting a emt course in a month or 2. After that I'm going to go back to college, the hard thing is I can't decide if I should go towards criminal justice or nursing I love both but idk how to decide

I'm a certified EMT; I took the course my senior year of high school and loved it. But it's nothing like nursing except for them both being health care. Personally, I'm a marine bio major. Totally different from being in health care but that EMT class was enough for me. Take the class, get certified, and decide for yourself if you want to continue to work in a toned-down version of that field. If you find out you LOVE EMT, look into being a paramedic nurse! My instructor was one and she was amazing at what she did!

I would say nursing. My mother was a LPN (nursing home) and my father was a chef in a casino (trump plaza casino in Atlantic City) my entire life (25yrs+). Once the economy went bad my father lost his job bc the casino closed and my mother had support him n the household. My father decided to go to school to become a LPN (nursing home) and my mother went back to become a RN (works in homes of special needs children). They are a extremely happy and wish they would have done it years ago.

Can you do a bit of work experience in each field? Maybe take some time out to shadow and see how you feel. Each one can lead you to further progression and you can always fall back on the other 😃

Go nursing! There is always places to move up and become more educated along the way. FYI EMT's make  little over minimum wage in most areas.
