Baby's First Christmas
We're all going to have newborns at Christmas this year! In my case, this is mine and my husband's first child, so I am really excited for us to start new traditions.
That being said, I'm totally at a loss for what to do for Christmas presents! My parents always went way overboard with my brothers and I, and my husband and I always buy gifts for EVERYONE in our families- parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles...we have big families. I don't want to do that anymore- not only do I want to focus on the less materialistic aspects of Christmas, but with the baby on the way and our financial situation changing over the past year, we simply can't afford that kind of Christmas!
I know my baby will be too young to understand for quite some time, but I still want to give her a special first Christmas gift. We already have a play mat, swing, bouncy seat, etc. The only thing that is really sticking with me is a rocking horse, even though she'll still be too young for it.
What about the rest of you November Mommas? Have you been thinking about Christmas? Any ideas?
