Why wont he just be blunt?

I asked my boyfriend why he loves me and like what he loves about me. That's okay to ask right ? He ends up saying that he doesn't know. Is this a guy thing or is this just being careless. Should i just drop the conversation or really find out what his deal is?😭

Total guy thing. I wouldn't get caught up in my feelings about it. With my fiance he will never answer a direct question like that but will randomly point out what he loves about me through out time.
