It's not really good... Alcohol is a depressant. My friend always drinks and last time his friend called the cops on him because he was being suicidal. It might make things worse.

You just need to be careful and knowwww your limits. Don't drink alone, drink with someone you can trust and before you start drinking agree on a cut off amount. Because when you're depresssed and drinking you're definitely not going to be thinking straight. Just have someone there to take care of you
